WELCOME TO THE AUSSIE PIES BALI MASTERS 9’S 2023

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you back to the Aussie Pies Bali Masters 9’s tournament for the 2023 edition.

After a recommencing last year after the hiatus caused by the worldwide pandemic with a two day tournament, we are now back to a full schedule over three days. We appreciate the support from teams all over the region to get us back to levels near that pre-pandemic.
This year we will once again utilize the one ground at Finns Recreation Club for the duration of the event. We are also pleased to be able to run three separate Age Divisions; 35+, 45+ and 55+. The 55+ division will complete their competition on Friday 9 June, the 45+ will finish up on Saturday June 10 and the 35+ will wrap up the tournament on early Sunday afternoon 11 June.

In addition to the games above, we will also hold a Women’s Exhibition game on Saturday morning just after 11am. We welcome any women traveling with your squad to register with us if they would like to participate.

We are also looking forward to the official after party on Sunday from 4pm at the magnificent venue, Mrs Sippy. There will be free entry and drink specials for participants of the Aussie Pies Bali Masters 9’s.

9’s football is a unique version of Aussie Rules that has been developed by the Geckos to accommodate the smaller playing fields in Bali. Teams are made up of 3 forwards and 3 backs who must start the game within the 35 metre arcs at the respective ends of the ground and 3 midfielders who start in the middle. Any score must occur from a kick originating inside the 35 metre arc. The action is fast and furious in this condensed form of Australian Football. Masters Footy is all about fun and participation and we ask that all teams follow this edict and keep this in mind on the field.

Finally, we would like to pass on our gratitude to our Tournament sponsor Aussie Pies, Finns Recreation Club for hosting us and supporting sponsors, Trade Indy, The Away Hotel Legian, Ecosite, The Forge, Shi-shi, Mrs Sippy, Oasis Construction, Atilla & Co, Bali Physiotherapy and Kuta Social Club.
