Youth Programs

Auskick is a program designed to develop the skills required in the game of AFL in a non-threatening environment. Sessions are about an hour long, and usually take place over a 5-6 week period. Each session starts with a warm-up, followed by skill development drills, and finishes with a game of minimal contact Aussie Rules. The Geckos recently welcomed a fully qualified Level 1 Coach to handle the program in Bali.

The short term goals of the Geckos involve creating enough interest with ex-pat and local children to hold regular sessions at The Canggu Club. In the medium term, a junior competition and eventually, developing a team to take on the best in Jakarta.
